Agia Roumeli is a small coastal village located, not connected to the road network, at the mouth of the gorge of Samarià (natural scenery of great beauty, totally walkable throughout its length which is 18 kilometers in total).
In addition to a challenging trekking, Agia Roumeli is also accessible by boat (every morning in summer, weather permitting!) from the small pier in the center of Paleòchora by ferries of Anendyk Line which connect to Sougia and then continue to Loutrò and Chora Sfakion. |
