The small inhabited centre is built around its typical Orthodox Church (dedicated ad Agios Nektarios) and is located at the base of first hills that surround the enchanting Bay of Palekastro, in a position that enjoys a pleasant panoramic view. |

Agathiàs is located at the coordinates +35° 11' 45.732" North, +26° 15' 51.407" East about one kilometre far from Palekastro, a small but well equipped city and an appreciated tourist destination with tavernes, restaurants, kafenii, groceries, a gasoline station, a bank with automatic teller, a pharmacy and medical guard.
